Dechloroetizolam is a type of benzodiazepine. It is chemically related to the prescription drug etizolam but has a slightly different chemical structure, as it lacks a chlorine atom on its molecule.
Dechloroetizolam is believed to work by enhancing the activity of a neurotransmitter called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which can reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, and induce sleep. It may also have muscle relaxant properties.
